ATP is the primary molecule our bodies use to produce energy and is found in every cell of the body. Scientists have found that ATP production increased 500% after microcurrent therapy was administered. Also protein synthesis and amino acid transport were increased; all speeding up healing time.
In my treatments, I use Microcurrent stimulation at literally one millionth of an ampere, because this is believed to be the body's own natural current strength. When matched to the body, it restores the body's own natural current.
When microcurrent therapy is used to help heal injured tissue, it restores the natural flow of current to the tissue. This allows the cells to regain their own natural energy flow. When injury occurs, the injured area has a higher electrical resistance than the surrounding tissue. This in turn decreases and often stops electrical flow through the injured area, which impedes the healing process and promotes inflammation. When microcurrent therapy is used, this resistance is reduced, which allows electricity to flow through and thus restores normal function. This stimulates our body’s natural healing.
Frequency Specific Microcurrent
Microcurrent instruments deliver minute doses of beneficial current to the cells in order to return the tissue to a normal level of electrical activity. This allows the body to effectively use proteins and other nutrients for cell growth and repair. Every cell in the body generates electrical current; getting the frequency specific microcurrent setting is the key.

In addition, microcurrent therapy can be used at specific frequencies for a variety of tissues and conditions. This can often soften tissue and decrease pain, which provides long-lasting pain relief that may even be permanent. chronic pain conditions are greatly benefitted by the correct frequency specific microcurrent settings.
When I apply microcurrent stimulation, it can only be felt minimally, because the sensory receptors are not stimulated. Other electrotherapy pain relief methods, (TENS), are provided at higher milliamp current (1000 times stronger), thereby causing muscle contraction. The aim of this huge current (TENS) is to hide pain, whereas microcurrent, because of its close proximity of our own body’s current, works on a more cellular level.

It has been theorized that healthy tissue is the result of the direct flow of electrical current throughout the body. Electrical balance is disrupted when the body is injured at a particular site, causing the electrical current to change course. The use of Microcurrent over the injured site is thought to realign this flow, thus aid in tissue repair. The use of Microcurrent at an injured area helps to realign the body’s electrical current, increase the production of ATP, resulting in increased healing and recovery, as well as blocking the pain that is perceived.
