Face Exercises

If you perform facial exercises to maintain your youthful-looking appearance, it is time to stop. Repetitive facial movements actually lead to fine lines and wrinkles. Every time we use a facial muscle, a groove forms beneath the surface of the skin, which is why we see lines form with each facial expression. As our skin ages and loses its elasticity, it stops springing back to its line-free state, and these grooves become permanently etched on the face as fine lines and wrinkles.

Gravity

Gravity constantly pulls on our bodies. Changes related to gravity become more pronounced as we age. In our 50s, when the skin’s elasticity declines dramatically, the effects of gravity become evident. Gravity causes the tip of the nose to droop, the ears to elongate, the eyelids to fall, jowls to form, and the upper lip to disappear while the lower lip becomes more pronounced.

Sleeping Positions

Resting your face on the pillow in the same way every night for years on end also leads to wrinkles. Called sleep lines, these wrinkles eventually become etched on the surface of the skin and no longer disappear when the head is not resting on the pillow. Women, who tend to sleep on their sides, are most likely to see these lines appear on their chin and cheeks. Men tend to notice these lines on the forehead since they usually sleep with the face pressed face down on the pillow. People who sleep on their backs do not develop these wrinkles since their skin does not lie crumpled against the pillow.

Smoking

Cigarette smoking causes biochemical changes in our bodies that accelerate aging. Research shows that a person who smokes 10 or more cigarettes a day for a minimum of 10 years is statistically more likely to develop deeply wrinkled, leathery skin than a nonsmoker. It also has been shown that people who smoke for a number of years tend to develop an unhealthy yellowish hue to their complexion. Additionally, a study conducted in 2002 showed that facial wrinkling, while not yet visible, can be seen under a microscope in smokers as young as 20. These signs can be greatly diminished, and in some cases avoided, by stopping smoking. Even people who have smoked for many years, or smoked heavily at a younger age, show less facial wrinkling and improved skin tone when they quit smoking.

For Healthier, Younger-Looking Skin

As we age, we look in the mirror and see our father’s jowls, or the lines around the mouth that looks like our mother, or those bags under the eyes that look family-inherited and deep furrows in our brow. And what about that skin that looks as if its slipping over your eyelids? It’s all going south and it’s all looking too, too familiar.

Loose Skin

As we age, the actual structure of our skin begins to change. Basically what happens is that our skin loses collagen. Collagen is the protein that creates the supporting structure of the skin. When the collagen goes, elasticity goes. When the skin is no longer elastic, it “forgets” its former position. This means the skin begins to sag and move downward (being pulled by gravity and with no collagen resistance). This soft, now-flabby skin creates skin folds above the lips and mouth resulting in mouth lines, the marionette line, and the nasal labial fold.

The mouth lines (the line running from your nose to the corner of your mouth) is known as the Nasal Labial fold line. The line running from the corner of your mouth down to the chin or jaw bone is called the Marionette Line (the lines that would be exaggerated when drawn on the face of a puppet).

Skin Tightening

None of us want to sag. So we are fighting back – creating a millions dollar industry to rectify the problem with skin tightening procedures. We search the Internet, contacting plastic surgeons and read up on our favorite entertainment stars to learn how to tighten loose skin. Some of us are looking for skin tightening following excessive weight loss; for others of us, its simply due to the process of aging.

Most of us begin with something relatively safe and non-evasive such as a skin tightening cream. While that may work on a temporary basis, it doesn’t work for the long term.

Tightening Skin Creams

Savvy marketers know how concerned people are about their facial appearance, hence the highly sophisticated advertising to sell the many remedies. It is the loss of collagen in the skin that causes the loss of elasticity, thus sagging skin. Many beauty products are sold touting the fact that they contain collagen. The fact is, collagen is not able to be absorbed into the skin. The so-called collagen added to skin care products is usually derived from animals. It is foreign to your skin and not only will it not be absorbed thus it will not rebuild your skin). Instead it could clog the pores and smother the skin, making the condition of loose skin even worse.

Dermal Fillers Caution

Dermal fillers are injected into the skin to reduce wrinkles and fill in facial lines. This is not a permanent solution and must be repeated. Reports of excessive swelling, lumps and bruising have come from those who have taken this route. Who knows what the long term effect of the botox and fillers is. Botox has been proven to cross the blood brain barrier but we do not know the effects just yet.

Face Lift Surgery

The more serious individuals will turn to skin tightening treatments as facial implants, or facelifts. Sometimes they choose to undergo both an implant and a facelift at the same time when they are advised to do so by a plastic surgeon. The price for a face lift ranges from $6,000 to $25,000, requires 2 to 5 hours of surgery, two weeks of recovery time, and the results are expected to last only “a few years. Face lift cost is dependent on the locale, experience of the surgeon, and the extent of the procedure. In addition, face lift prices include much more than the surgeon’s fee. The total cost includes facility fees, hospital fees, anesthesiologist fees, and more.

Natural Facelift

Have you ever wondered if there might be a better way? A sequence of Face Lift Acupuncture treatments or a sequence of Needle-Free Face Lift treatments that instead of simply treating the symptoms, would actually get to the source of the problems of sagging, wrinkled skin?

Stress and Emotions Age Us

The face is a mirror of who you are and what you are experiencing. Your face is where all of your emotions are revealed, even if you try to mask them. The worry lines and stress lines are displayed for all to see. The alternative face lift procedure I offer calms you and rids your body and mind of stress and anger thus calming your facial expressions, with the effect of less aging evidence written all over your face.

Alternative Facelift Circulation
The face is the part of the body that is exposed to all the elements – sun, wind, cold, heat, toxins, drying cleansing products and harsh chemicals in skin care and make-up products. Our face needs lots of attention and that is what you get when you relax during my alternative facelift treatment.

Natural Face Lift

What if there was a way to cooperate with nature in this process? What if there was a natural skin tightening procedure and program set up to keep you looking vibrant and youthful for as long as you shall live? A program that is safe, natural and permanent. And absolutely zero detrimental side effects!

The answer is: there is!

Face Lift Alternative

My Alternative Face Lift is proven by scientists and published in medical journals to increase collagen and elastin production. It signals your dormant ATP producing cells to ‘hop to it’ and produce new collagen and elastin for you. It also increases blood circulation, stimulates your muscles and guides them back where they were years ago; where they look more youthful.

Prevent Skin Sagging

Mother Nature doesn’t play fair especially when it comes to the subject of sagging facial skin. Too much tanning, repeated weight loss and gain, genetics, the loss of elasticity of facial skin, and force of gravity are all working against us causing sagging skin.

Longevity Acupuncture

Get acupuncture or needle-less acupuncture to distress and reduce anxiety, balance your hormones and optimize your digestion; all leading to less aging and a long and vital life!!

Prevention

While you cannot stop or even slow down the intrinsic aging process, you can prevent signs of premature aging by protecting your skin from the sun, quitting smoking, and eliminating facial exercises.

Sun Protection

Avoiding deliberate tanning, and use of indoor tanning devices.

Stay out of the sun between 10a.m. and 4p.m., when the sun is the strongest.

Wear protective clothing, such as a wide-brimmed hat and long sleeves, when outdoors during the day.

Apply coconut oil 20 minutes before going outdoors to all skin that will be exposed. It should be reapplied often after sweating or being in water.

I had such a boost of energy. It was 5:30 pm and I was still not hungry.
