Your Nutritional Typing Report:
Eat Right For Optimum Health.
Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food. ~ Hippocrates
The unique individual nutritional typing I provide is based in Chinese Medicine, Five Element nutrition, and progressive Western Longevity nutrition, which includes Superfood nutrition and natural remedies. The triad unifies eastern and western therapies with an emphasis on anti-aging, reverse-aging and longevity. This report affords you the best preventative healthcare you could wish for.
Chinese Medicine Nutrition
You are provided with a grocery list of foods to eat and avoid according to your unique constitution and physical and emotional symptoms. The report may be up to 10 pages in length depending on your age and symptoms. An example of the food and natural remedy charts that are provided in addition to your constitutional charts are charts for Menopause, Insomnia, Breast Lumps, Fibroids, Anxiety, Longevity etc.
Eating purposely for health requires knowledge, time and effort. Investing in your food is an investment in yourself; health and quality of life will follow.
Good dietary practices form an important foundation of healing, making all medicines and remedies far more effective.
Eating foods according to your constitution and in harmony with your unique yin yang balance is the fundamental key to staying well or getting well.
Your Constitutional Type
To determine your constitution and the foods you should eat to rebalance your system for optimal health, I take account of your physical, and emotional symptoms, tongue diagnosis, and pulse diagnosis.
Knowing your body type helps you choose foods to maintain good balance. A person with a yang type body must be very careful and eat more yin foods to prevent disease. A person with a yin body type should eat more yang foods to keep her body balanced. If she eats too many yin foods, it drives her body to a yin extreme. The body’s natural defense mechanism will shows signs of rejection, which western medicine describes as food allergies. If the imbalance is not rectified, the person will become ill.
When we are exhibiting symptoms of illness or imbalance, we need extra nutrition for the body to fight the imbalance or disease.
Digestion Metabolism
Digestion and metabolism is greatly enhanced by eating the right diet. A healthy spleen/stomach system is most important for digesting and absorbing nutrients from foods.
Balance Your Illness
Illness has yin and yang characteristics as well. When you become sick, the nature of your illness should be identified and then foods of the opposite nature are used to balance the yin and the yang effects.
Hot and Cold—Your Thermal Nature.
Being either too hot or cold contributes to illness. If you are too cold (you have an aversion to the cold, are pale, dislike cold food and drinks, sleep curled up, overdressed), then warm up by avoiding excessive cooling foods in constitutional nature or those cold in temperature and by eating more cooked and warming foods in constitutional nature or temperature.
If you are too hot (an aversion to heat, like cold drinks and foods, dress scantily, have red face and eyes, dark yellow urine) then reduce warming foods in constitutional nature, (alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, and red meats), and those hot in temperature.
Excess and Deficient—Your Strength
If you are excessive (robust, reddish complexion, thick tongue coating, loud voice, strong pulses, extrovert) then reduce excess by using fewer excess promoting foods and add more bitter foods. If you are deficient (frail, pale, little or no tongue coating, weak pulses, introvert), then chew your food especially thoroughly, and eat more building foods.
Exterior Conditions - Colds & Flus
Common "Exterior" conditions are usually fairly easily resolved. The main remedy is to sweat. Use Chinese herbal formulas to open the pores and increase circulation. There are specific foods that help to expel a pathogen quickly if used in the early stages (day one).
Your body is precious. It is our vehicle for awakening. Treat it with care ~ Buddha
