Reduce Your Risk of Deadly Prostate Cancer by 60%
The American Cancer Society estimates that one in six men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Over 200,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year in the US, making it the most frequently diagnosed cancer among men. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) prostate cancer kills more men than any other cancer except lung cancer. But now, research out of the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) offers new hope to men everywhere.
A brand new study published just this month in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, shows that coffee can lower the risk of developing a lethal form of prostate cancer.
HSPH followed 47,911 men from 1986 to 2008. During that time, the men kept track of their coffee consumption.
Men with the highest coffee consumption had a 60 percent lower risk of developing a form of the cancer that's most likely to result in death.
Men who drank six or more cups a day had a 20 percent reduced risk of any form of prostate cancer. Even one to three cups a day corresponded to a 30 percent drop in the risk of lethal prostate cancer.
What was responsible for the positive results? Researchers credited quinine, magnesium, and trigonelline. These compounds cut inflammation and manage insulin. Coffee also contains antioxidants that fight free radicals and prevent cell-damaging oxidation.
It doesn't matter if you prefer regular or decaffeinated coffee. Researchers found the same reduction in risk with both. But drink your coffee black or with coconut or almond milk.
Dr. Neal D. Barnard reviewed 12 international studies. He found that "consumption of dairy products is associated with increased risk of prostate cancer incidence and mortality."

Drinking a few cups of coffee, having regular acupuncture sessions and taking a Chinese herb formula is probably the easiest way to cut your prostate cancer risk.
Chinese Medicine associates hyperplasia (enlargement) of the prostate with kidney system deficiency and damp heat. After the age of 40, the vital force energy in the kidney system decreases, resulting in sex hormone (testosterone) disturbances. This process also decreases sexual energy, which affects the function of the prostate and blood circulation in this area. For 1000's of years, men in China have used regular acupuncture treatments to improve the circulation and energy in the prostate, to compensate for the decline of prostate function. To enhance the effect of acupuncture, they have also used Chinese herbs, in traditional, custom herbal formulas to replenish the kidney essence. Kidney essence is essential, as it nurtures the prostate. Once the prostate is revitalized, it has a renewed capability of self-regulating which allows normal functioning and the ability to maintain a balance of growth and non-growth once again. This is an example of the balancing property of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas.
Chinese medicine balancing method with also just naturally address abnormal patterns of urination (more night time urination, burning sensation, difficulty, dribbling and blockage) which are common indications of prostate enlargement.
